Dear residents and local businesses,
Here is a roundup of what the Foleshill Neighbourhood team officers have been doing this week.
OUR Priorities
Our priorities are now business crime; this is an issue all over the north east and officers are proactively patrolling the affected areas. We have officers in plain clothes as well as in hi visibility uniform.
Officers are carrying out dedicated retail crime patrols and plain clothes operations to provide reassurance to shop keepers, deter anti-social behaviour and address concerns raised by the community. Alongside these the dedicated retail crime patrols are focusing on supporting local shops, tackling shop theft and working closely with shop staff to prevent repeat offences
Officers have been conducting weapon sweeps as part of operation sceptre, this is to remove dangerous weapons from our streets. We have worked with community safety teams and are gathering intel to make sure we are patrolling the correct areas to maximise community reassurance. By completing weapon sweeps officers can reduce weapon availability and help prevent incidents before they happen.
IN OTHER NEWS
Officers have completed a community residents meeting, this was a great opportunity for residents to discuss the issues that matter to them. Officers have taken these issues on board and will be working towards helping reduce these community priorities.
Officers have been busy patrolling in the north of the city and working hard to reduce crime and give reassurance to the public.
Our local PCSO’s have been spending time in the local library this is ware we hold (PACT) meetings, police and communities together, and our cupper with a copper events. Please keep an eye for up and coming dates and do attend if you have local worries or issues you would like to discuss with the police.
